“Having soul-searched for an appropriate solution to the threat of losing our holiday homes, which have served three generations of our families, at Kilbegnet Beach County Wexford, my four neighbors and I finally settled on ECPS with their Ecab system as the only natural permanent response to saving our properties from the ever-increasing power of the sea in this era of global warming.

Pierce Power and Kevin Lynch provided us with straightforward designs and construction plans that were environmentally friendly, cost-effective, and endorsed by the Wexford County Council following rigorous assessment.

The revetment, stretching to almost 400 meters in length, was constructed in Autumn 2017 amidst the fury of Storm Ophelia and Storm Brian and was completed on time and on a very tight budget."

Erosion Control Armoured Block

ECAB stands for Erosion Control Armoured Block. It is a specially designed concrete block that interlocks with its neighboring blocks to form extremely strong, effective protection against coastal erosion. In use since the 1990s, new research has allowed us to perfect the design and installation. Projects in Counties Cork and Wexford in 2017 have demonstrated their effectiveness against the fiercest Atlantic storms of 2017 and 2018.
